"Sex sells. But a good idea sells even better"
Magazine ad with real dollar bill pasted over the Swiss Re banner.
Mazda’s 626 teaser launch campaign showed the silhouette of a car, no brand name and the controversial “156”-phone number (used mainly by sex services). Callers heard an erotic female voice unveiling the car’s tempting characteristics. They also could order a brochure and get the address of the nearest Mazda dealer. The campaign was talk of town all over Switzerland.
